Celebrating local community sustainability action!
Local people, local projects, local food, sharing together

Come and find out what’s happening locally & find out more about the new Benthyg in Penarth, Penarth Growing Community & Growing Together Network, Plastic Free Penarth, Penarth Tree Forum and Penarth Climate Action. You’ll also be able to find out more about the work of East Vale Community Transport, other enterprises and local green spaces who are growing, including the ‘Friends of’ groups locally.

Plus Piotr and his Stol coffee bike will arrive at 11am, for coffee, cookies and conversation.

You’ll also find Amanda’s Microgreens (bring a container) and Lisa’s allotment jam!

And, People of Doom, a local sustainable fashion brand will be there to share their fascinating project.

Activities will include:
– Plant sale
– 10.30am Compost demo
– 12pm Conversation Circle: Local food
– 1 pm Intro to lettuce – growing an abundant crop

We will also have a seed, plant & crop swap – don’t forget to bring your surplus to swap!

If it’s a nice day, why not bring a picnic to enjoy in the garden too.

Thank you to Dan Brown from Friends of Victoria Square for gifting us plants he’s been growing in Stol Coffee cups, available for a donation to support future growing activities.
